# Assistant Preferences

> Customize how The Assistant works for you

Control how The Assistant responds and behaves.

## Accessing Preferences

Go to **Settings → Assistant** to configure these options.

## Response Style

### Tone

Choose how The Assistant communicates:

* **Professional** — Formal, business-appropriate language
* **Casual** — Friendly, conversational tone
* **Concise** — Short, direct responses

### Response Length

Control how detailed responses are:

* **Brief** — Quick answers, key points only
* **Balanced** — Standard detail level
* **Detailed** — Comprehensive explanations

## Default Behaviors

### Auto-suggestions

Toggle whether The Assistant proactively suggests:

* Workflows to run
* People to reach out to
* Follow-up actions

### Context Window

Choose how much conversation history The Assistant remembers in a single session.

## Workflow Defaults

### Confirmation Prompts

Choose when to ask for confirmation:

* **Always** — Confirm before every action
* **For external actions** — Confirm emails, calendar changes
* **Never** — Execute immediately

### Draft Review

Toggle whether to show drafts before sending:

* Emails
* Messages
* Calendar invites

## Keyboard Shortcuts

Enable or disable global keyboard shortcuts for quick access to The Assistant.

## Reset to Defaults

To restore default settings:

1. Go to **Settings → Assistant**
2. Scroll to the bottom
3. Click **Reset to Defaults**
4. Confirm

This resets all assistant preferences but keeps your personal context and workflows.
