# Keyboard Shortcuts

> Quick access to Orbit features

Master these shortcuts to navigate Orbit faster.

## Global Shortcuts

These work from anywhere on your Mac when Orbit is running.

| Shortcut        | Action             |
| --------------- | ------------------ |
| `⌘ + Space`     | Open The Assistant |
| `⌘ + Shift + O` | Open Orbit         |
| `⌘ + Shift + B` | Open The Brief     |

## The Brief

| Shortcut  | Action                 |
| --------- | ---------------------- |
| `↑` / `↓` | Navigate between cards |
| `Enter`   | Open card details      |
| `D`       | Mark as Done           |
| `L`       | Mark as Later          |
| `N`       | Mark as Never          |
| `R`       | Run workflow           |
| `C`       | Comment & Run          |
| `M`       | Remix workflow         |
| `⌘ + 1-6` | Jump to time bucket    |

## The Assistant

| Shortcut        | Action             |
| --------------- | ------------------ |
| `Enter`         | Send message       |
| `Shift + Enter` | New line           |
| `↑`             | Edit last message  |
| `Esc`           | Clear input        |
| `⌘ + K`         | Clear conversation |
| `Tab`           | Accept suggestion  |

### Token Shortcuts

| ---- | ------------------- |
| `@`  | Mention a person    |
| `#`  | Reference a company |
| `{!` | Insert an app       |
| `/`  | Run a workflow      |
| `&`  | Add a location      |
| `$`  | Create an input     |

## People

| Shortcut | Action          |
| -------- | --------------- |
| `⌘ + F`  | Search contacts |
| `⌘ + N`  | New contact     |
| `Enter`  | Open profile    |
| `E`      | Edit contact    |
| `⌘ + G`  | Create group    |

## Calendar

| Shortcut          | Action             |
| ----------------- | ------------------ |
| `T`               | Go to today        |
| `←` / `→`         | Previous/next day  |
| `⌘ + ←` / `⌘ + →` | Previous/next week |
| `⌘ + N`           | New event          |

## Workflows

| Shortcut    | Action             |
| ----------- | ------------------ |
| `⌘ + N`     | New workflow       |
| `⌘ + E`     | Edit workflow      |
| `⌘ + D`     | Duplicate workflow |
| `⌘ + Enter` | Run workflow       |

## Customizing Shortcuts

To change keyboard shortcuts:

1. Go to **Settings → Keyboard Shortcuts**
2. Click on the shortcut you want to change
3. Press your new key combination
4. Click **Save**

### Conflict Resolution

If your shortcut conflicts with another app:

* Orbit will warn you about the conflict
* You can override or choose a different shortcut
* Some system shortcuts cannot be overridden
