# Privacy

> Your data stays on your device

Orbit is designed with privacy first. Your data stays on your Mac and in your connected accounts.

## How Data is Stored

### Local Storage

Your contact data, relationship history, and notes are stored locally on your Mac.

Orbit doesn't upload your contacts or conversation history to our servers.

### Connected Accounts

When you connect Google, the data stays in Google:

* Contacts live in Google Contacts
* Calendar events live in Google Calendar
* Orbit reads from these services but doesn't copy everything

### What We Store

Orbit stores minimal data in the cloud:

* Your account info (email for login)
* Analytics (usage patterns, not content)
* Error reports (crash logs, not personal data)

## Privacy Controls

Go to **Settings → Privacy** to manage your preferences.

### Analytics

Toggle off to disable usage analytics.

We collect:

* Feature usage (which features you use, not what you do with them)
* Performance metrics
* Error reports

We don't collect:

* Contact names or data
* Meeting content
* Workflow outputs
* Your network information

### Error Reporting

Toggle off to disable crash reports.

Error reports help us fix bugs but never include personal data.

## Data in Transit

When Orbit communicates with apps:

* All connections use HTTPS
* OAuth tokens are stored securely in Keychain
* API calls go directly to services (Google, etc.)

## Enrichment Privacy

When you enable enrichment:

* LinkedIn data is fetched from public profiles
* Company data is from public sources
* Results are stored locally on your device

Disable enrichment in **Settings → CRM** if you prefer.

## Deleting Your Data

### Local Data

Uninstalling Orbit removes all local data.

To remove data while keeping the app:

* Go to **Settings → Privacy → Clear Data**
* Choose what to delete

### Account Data

To delete your Orbit account:

1. Go to **Settings → Account**
2. Click **Delete Account**
3. Confirm

This removes your account and any cloud-stored preferences.

## Third-Party Services

Orbit connects to services you authorize:

* **Google** — Contacts and Calendar
* **Other apps** — Only when you explicitly connect them

Each service has its own privacy policy. Orbit only accesses what you authorize and only reads the data needed for features.
