Time blocks are calendar events you create for focused work. Orbit recognizes them and helps you stay on track.

Creating Time Blocks

Create a calendar event for yourself with:
  • Only you as attendee (no one else invited)
  • A descriptive title like “Focus: Project work” or “Deep work”
  • A reasonable duration (1-4 hours)
Orbit automatically recognizes these as time blocks.

Time Block Cards

When a time block is about to start, a card appears:

Shows:
  • What you planned to work on
  • When the block starts
  • Duration

Starting Focus

Click Start Focus when your time block begins.

Orbit can:
  • Show what you planned to accomplish
  • Suggest related tasks from your task list
  • Help you get into flow

During Focus

While in a time block, the card pulses to show it’s active:

Shows time remaining in the block.

  • Suggest times based on your energy patterns

Recurring Focus Time

Create recurring time blocks for regular focus time:
  • Daily morning focus
  • Weekly planning sessions
  • Regular creative time
Orbit shows cards for each occurrence.

Tips

Name blocks clearly “Focus: Quarterly report” is better than just “Focus” Block enough time Short blocks get interrupted. Aim for 90+ minutes. Stack blocks Multiple short blocks in a row count as extended focus.
