Orbit works best with your full network. Import contacts from multiple sources.

Google Contacts

Your Google contacts sync automatically when you sign in.

iMessage Metadata

Orbit can track when you last messaged contacts (not message content).
iMessage metadata setting
Enable in Settings → CRM → iMessage Import. This adds:
  • Last message date for each contact
  • Helps power interaction reminders
Orbit only reads metadata (who and when), never message content.

Merging Duplicates

When importing, Orbit tries to match existing contacts.
Duplicate detection
If duplicates are found:
  • Merge — Combine into one contact
  • Keep both — Treat as separate people
  • Skip — Don’t import the duplicate

After Importing

New contacts appear in your network immediately. Orbit will:
  • Match them to calendar events
  • Start tracking interactions
  • Include them in The Brief reminders
