Card Actions

Every Brief card has multiple ways to take action.

Quick Actions

The top-right of each card has action buttons:

Workflow Actions

The bottom-right has the main action button:

Click to Run

Click the button to run the card’s workflow immediately. For a birthday card, clicking Send Wishes drafts a personalized birthday message. For a meeting card, clicking Prep for Meeting researches attendees and creates a prep document.

Comment & Run

Click the dropdown and select Comment & Run to add context before running. Add notes like:

• “Focus on the product roadmap discussion”
• “Mention the conference we met at”
• “Keep it brief, she’s very busy”

The workflow uses your comment as additional context.

Remix

Click the dropdown and select Remix to customize the workflow. This opens the workflow in the editor where you can:

• Change what apps are used
• Modify the prompt
• Add or remove steps
• Save as a new workflow

Use trackpad gestures as shortcuts:

Special Actions

Some cards have additional buttons:

Join (Online Meetings)

Opens the video call link in your browser. Appears when the meeting is about to start or is live.

Directions (In-Person Meetings)

Opens the meeting location in Maps.

What Happens After

Done

The card is removed from The Brief. For relationship cards, Orbit records that you followed up.

Later

The card moves to the next time bucket:

• Now → stays visible
• On Deck → moves to Today
• Today → moves to Tomorrow
• Tomorrow → moves to This Week

Never

For relationship cards only. Orbit stops sending reminders about this person for this type of event (e.g., birthday reminders). You can re-enable reminders in the contact’s settings.
