Orbit uses Google to access your calendar and contacts. This is the first step in onboarding.

Signing In

  1. Click Sign in with Google
  2. A browser window opens to Google’s login page
  3. Select or enter your Google account
  4. Review the permissions Orbit is requesting
  5. Click Allow
  6. Return to Orbit

What Orbit Accesses

Orbit requests access to:

What Orbit Doesn’t Access

Orbit does not access:
  • Gmail or email content
  • Google Drive files
  • Google Photos
  • Any other Google services

Multiple Accounts

Currently, Orbit supports one Google account. If you have multiple accounts:
  • Choose the one with your primary work calendar
  • You can switch accounts later in Settings

Security

  • OAuth tokens are stored securely in macOS Keychain
  • Orbit never sees your Google password
  • You can revoke access anytime from Google’s security settings

Troubleshooting

Sign-in window doesn’t appear

  1. Check if a popup blocker is preventing it
  2. Try clicking Sign in with Google again
  3. Restart Orbit and try again

Permission denied error

Make sure you clicked Allow on the Google permissions screen. If you clicked Deny, try signing in again.

Wrong account

If you signed in with the wrong account:
  1. Complete onboarding
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Click Sign Out
  4. Sign in again with the correct account
