What is Orbit?
Orbit is a personal relationship and productivity assistant for Mac. It combines your people, apps, and workflows to help you stay on top of your professional relationships and work more efficiently.How is Orbit different from a CRM?

Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored locally on your Mac. Orbit doesn’t upload your contacts, conversations, or relationship data to our servers. See Privacy for details.What data does Orbit collect?
Orbit collects minimal analytics (feature usage, not content) and error reports (crash logs, not personal data). Both can be disabled in Settings.Is my data encrypted?
Yes. Local data is encrypted using macOS security features. OAuth tokens are stored in Keychain. All network connections use HTTPS.Can Orbit read my emails?
No. Orbit connects to Google Calendar and Contacts but does not access your email content. Meeting prep uses calendar data, not email.Connections

Why can’t I connect Apple Contacts?
Orbit focuses on cloud-synced sources to ensure your data stays current. You can export from Apple Contacts and import via CSV.How do I disconnect an app?

When does The Brief update?
The Brief refreshes:- When you open Orbit
- At the start of each day
- When your calendar changes
- Manually via pull-to-refresh
Can I customize which cards appear?
Yes. Go to Settings → Brief to:- Set familiarity thresholds for check-in cards
- Choose which event types show as cards
- Configure card frequency
What happens when I swipe a card?
- Done — Card won’t reappear for this instance
- Later — Card moves to a later time bucket
- Never — Card type won’t appear for this person
The Assistant
Does The Assistant use AI?
Yes. The Assistant uses AI to understand your questions, draft messages, and run workflows. Your conversations stay on your device.Can The Assistant send emails for me?
The Assistant can draft emails, but you review and send them yourself. This ensures you stay in control.How do I teach The Assistant my style?
Add information in Settings → Personal Context. The more context you provide about your role, priorities, and writing style, the better the results.Workflows
What’s the difference between Run and Remix?
- Run — Executes the workflow as designed
- Remix — Opens the workflow with a specific context, letting you modify it before running
Can I share workflows?
Not currently. Workflows are stored locally on your device. Sharing is planned for a future release.How do I create a workflow?

Orbit isn’t syncing my calendar
- Check that Google is connected in Settings → Apps
- Verify the calendar is selected in Settings → Calendar
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting Google
- Restart Orbit
The Brief is empty
This usually means:- No connected calendars
- No contacts imported yet
- Familiarity thresholds are set too high
Enrichment isn’t working
Enrichment requires:- An internet connection
- The feature enabled in Settings → CRM
- Contacts with enough info to match (name, company, or email)
How do I reset Orbit?
To clear all data while keeping the app:- Go to Settings → Privacy → Clear Data
- Choose what to delete
- Confirm
